Just another day in paradise
WOW today was one of those don't stop or you may fall behind days. It started off at 7am this morning, getting micah up and out the door to his preop appointment for Friday. We say and listened to the Dr. discuss the options to micah, what the risk were and what she felt was the best choise. To bring you up to date, Micah goes in to surgery on Friday to get his G Tube moved and replaced with a low profile one. SOOOO we sat discussing what we wanted done, and how we were going to go about it. Finished that, then we headed right up to same day surgery YEP that took 2 hours to get through. I couldn't believe it, 2 hours of sitting there and waiting.
While I was there I got the news that there had been an earthquake in California. My side of the family is all in southern California. So what better way to find out if they are ok while I suffer waiting in a SAC waiting room.. but texting them asking them " What's been shakin'' and if they falled off into the ocean yet and floating this way. See I can joke like that because I was born in and raised in the middle of earthquake row. Grew up laughing about the " BIG ONE" and how we were all going to break off into the ocean. I've lived through 7.o earthquakes and 6. earthquakes so to me a 5.4 is like a baby roller coaster ride as it was for my whole family. So there was that laughter for the day. My family was given their yearly dose of shakes.
WELL why I was laughing with my family I still sat bored in the waiting room, wishing the nightmare would end, wishing.. wishing... wishing... THEN boom it did... hahahaha.. NOT.. =) The nurse did finally come in and do a 5 minute question and answer session then we were released from the dying bordom. to go and EAT LUNCH.. =).
It was a day of sitting in waiting rooms, and driving cars back and forth. But you know what it was a day that I throughly enjoyed because I spent it with my son. One day that was not wasted with bordom only but productive laughter and conversation with my boy. GREAT day it was =).
