wow what a week

"God doesn't remove the difficulty and pain. But he will be there with you through it all."

How many times do we begin to feel God isn't around when hardship enters your life? Rather then approaching your tough times with the attitude that God has vanished, use these circumstances to find God. He is there. And He isn't hiding. He wants you to sense his love for you. He desires for you to understandhis purposes for allowing these difficuties in your life.
I hit one of these points this week, you know those days where you just want to crawl back up in bed, and go to sleep?. Yep that was my Monday. I was out doing things around town, and thought I would do something special for my husband. So I proceeded to the Car Wash with a happy heart and loving spirit. As I came around the corner put money in the wash machine meter, I thought clearning that meter would be easy I soon found out it wasn't. I brought his big truck around the corner and I felt this draging looking back I see the truck trying to take the money meter with it.
As I sat crying over trying to do something nice and hurting my husbands truck instead I look back.. The tuff box that I thought was locked was flying as the high winds of the dry cycle came over the truck, but as I looked it wasn't the tuff box it was the 30 something wrapped danishs my husband had in that tuff box. Yep to my dismay I had danishes flying through the car wash like a danish tornado.
At that point I was bawling, I wreaked my husbands baby and distroyed all his danishes. So instead of taking the cat to the vet as I planned, I headed home. After getting half way there I realized joy comes from attitude in all situations. So I turned and proceeded to the Vet. Getting in there on the walk in day thinking my cat will be fixed from the cat fight that day. To my dismay yep another dismay.. they canceled walk in because of lack of workers. I sat crying again thinking NO MORE. Then as I sat in the truck crying, a peace came around me and I began to understand a little more about my God. How do I expect to recoginize God during times of crises if I haven't been taking notice of him when things are going well?
So I began to smile as I remembered that morning, the beautiful sun he had placed in the sky that day. My boys had woke up and got ready for school without complaining did all their meds and treatments with getting to school on time. My husband was still home and by my side. Material things are just that material things. So I headed home to face my husband with the news on his truck. Praying all the way =). I called the insurance company while keith slept, and got all what needed done wih them before breaking the news. As I went in to tell keith, I first told him I gave him a gift A newly washed car second I also gave him a really nice bruise on his car also that wasn'ttended to be with my gift. He looked at me, said did you call insurance then proceeded to tell me as I cried that's why we have insurance and he was glad I was safe. He then began to laugh as I told him what happened. UNTIL he looked at his truck, then I saw panic then back to a smile.
Not on scawl, not one word of discouragment. I sat blessed for a man who sees things as it should be, material things come and go.
OK now on to Micah this week. I have to share=). Micah yesterday was having a really bad afternoon and shot off his mouth. He was sent to his room for time out and while doing that I told him to read Proverbs 21 and in 13 minutes tell me a verse that stood out to him. 13 minutes later he comes in, laughing asking if I knew what he was going to read. Actually I didn't, I just had him read the proverb chapter that wentith the day of the month. He smiled and said Proverbs 21:26 Keep watch over your mouth, or it will get you in trouble. So I looked at him and said what is God telling you.. He looks at me and says couldn't be clearer mom Keep my mouth shut LOL. ahhh I love proverbs such a wonderful place to start when having to discipline a teenager LOL.
Remember Easy times may make you spiritually indiffernet, but tough times make you spiritually dependent. And that is exactly how God wants you.
