God's Love
What a wonderful day today has been, one of relaxation, love and time with my Elijah. I set this day aside for Elijah and the Church kids today, Meeting them at the zoo and enjoying the afternoon looking at the animals God created. It was an OK turn out, but the greatest part was the time I recieved with my youngest child.
The last couple of months have been filled with Teenage issues and Elijah has patently waited in the background as I focused my attention on those issues. Today was his day with mom, all the attention was placed on him, We walked over to the Parrots first and he read all the signs of each animal we stopped at. He read about the different parrots and why each one was different. I began telling him it was just amazing how God made all his creations so different, even us. Then when we got to the Monkeys, we laughed and made the monkey sounds together as the monkeys made their own music to God. What a wonderful, amazing day it was.. I then took him over to McDonalds and talked about all the animals we saw, then over to the new Madagascar movie. We had so much fun together, and it was wonderful to just shower my son with the attention.
Our children grow up so fast, and sometimes its hard but we must find that time to stop and take time with them. Because as I'm learning now, they are here for a short period of time, we have such a short period of time to show them God's amazing love and to teach them about God's amazing love. I praise God for the time today, and pray that my time with Elijah meant as much to him as it did me.
