WOW I am about to start a blog on something so wide ranged, so big and an all so powerful thing. EFMP ( can you hear the angels singing and the spot lights shinning on the word). Civilian world would have no idea what those four letters mean. In a family like mine, its a part of life. When we go into the Dr's one of the first things they ask while they check the child's weight is .. Is he/she enrolled in EFMP. What is this all so powerful 4 letter word mean, everything to a extrodanary child, problems to a normal family just trying to PCS.
This program was made to make it known what special needs were around a soldiers life, when its time to pcs. To make sure the soldiers family is around a hospital with proper care. Its become issues though for those who don't need it. Problems of holding those families apart while waiting for EFMP paper work, Problems of wrong diagnoses and seeming to take nothing less then the president of the united states to remove them from EFMP.
What I want to do in this blog is bring every day life into an area where it seems sometimes we get lost. Extrodanary kids, military guidelines and Dr's that sometimes can make you double think is the medical worth it. The Pros and cons on a system that at times seems wonderful, and other times seems your worst enemy.
EFMP is a house hold name here at the bean home, My oldest having asthma, me having chronic kidney stones, Micah(11) Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, and chronic kidney stones, Elijah ( 9) diagnosed with CF, Autism, Seizures and Diabeties. SO I will begin showing you the journey through a military family who deals with more then just deployments and field exercises.. But health issues that tend to become stressful, and lonely. So welcome to our family.
