friends God's best gift.

Two are better the one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if a friend falls they will be there to pick that friend up. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no friend to help him up.Eccles. 4:9
Friendships are a wonderful gift from God, when all the chips are down there's nothing like a good GirlFriend. Someone that will accept you, scars, lack of hair, overweight, underweight, emotional or cranky. She will be by your side when the day seems never ending, and the pain seems deep. She will stop her day to pray with you, to care for you and listen. Friendships are a daily blessing God has given us. It's how we use that blessing that dictates how our friendships turn out.
When this deployment started I was satisfied with my time going to my family. My friendships were at an arms distances, I had been hurt many times over and I didn't want anyone close, and I liked it that way. Until slowly women began to enter my life that have made an impact on me. Mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Women who I know that would be there to pick me up when I've fallen, women who would pray when there was nothing else they could say.
As I began this weight loss adventure I've had many by me, encouraging me and making me accountable. Allowing me to whine when it hurt, allowing me to complain when I wanted to stop, and allowing me to cry when I've been sick and still pushing through. My friends don't ask for anything in return but friendship, No extra time, no constant together time, allowing me to raise my family and still be a friend.
Funny thing is I've loved giving that friendship back, listening, encouraging, making them accountable and best of all praying for them constantly. We have many things in common, CF kids, Autistic kids, PWOC, Gym, pool, deployments, Chapel. Many things bring us together, But GOD is always the center of the friendships. Knowing I don't have to leave my God, my Christianity at my door. Knowing that my friends love to talk about God, love to be encouraged and love to pray for each other.
Friends remind us we are part of something greater than ourselves. We need friends in our lives, Friends who we only discuss deep issues, and confide our secrets, fears and sorrows, but friends we can also laugh, play and even cry with.I've found that the best times in life are made thousand times better when it's shared with a good friend.
So with all this said I love you my friends, those who I laugh with, cry with, pray with, share with, and enjoy my best times with. I have been fully blessed.
